Quick question,
Why … Quick question,
Why don’t you just use the open D string to tune it down instead of the 5th fret of the A string? seems more practical, since you don’t have to fret anything.
Werd, I’m not very … Werd, I’m not very familiar with black metal bands, but I know for a fact that’s it’s very uncommon in most death metal bands, although some do use it, such as the almighty Psycroptic.
Best way to find out is just to look up a bunch of tabs and see what people are using, or just figure it out yourself by ear.
no play the D … no play the D string and tune the E string to that you should be able to hear when its right… dont tune it to the same pitch as the d string it should be lower
So you play the A … So you play the A string in the 5th fret and the you play the E string and you tighten or losen the E string until it sounds like the 5th fret A?
